Looks like a studebaker.

The early '50s Studebaker was more aerodynamic. The Plymouth definitely wouldn't have been as fast at Bonneville ;)

I can definitely see that.

Certainly not with the mentioned inline 6, most likely being a flathead.

The last big show in this area was a couple weekends ago. There was a Studebaker Eagle there. It does have a similar look to the Plymouth.

The Studebaker was considered ahead of it's time because of it's minimal frontal area. They were used in, and broke land speed records that other factory cars of the era couldn't touch.

I don't think anything else had a sloping nose like this in the early '50s.

You're probably right. Early 50s Buicks kind of have a similar style, just not as low slung and sleek. Also the meaty grill doesn't do much for aerodynamics. Attached is my mom's 51 buick special. It's getting paint this week.

Its got a similar basic shape, but certainly no land speed records! Especially with the dynaflow transmission.

I did a Google search and found a thread in this forum about another first gen hearse. It's pic is here. The one I saw was silver. Apparently it was an Bbay listing a while ago. I also found a 2021 explorer/aviator that really looks pretty good as a conversion. The modern body style seems to flow a bit better with the modifications. The first gen is cool, but you can tell its definitely not supposed to be that way.

Some people are dying to get a ride in there.

I didn't get a pic, but im watching TV tonight and we're just sitting here B.S.ing. The TV is muted and there is a Linzess commercial that came on. I happened to look up and there is a euro spec first gen sitting front and center in the shot.

I have a sales brochure for this vehicle in my stuff and attached a pic for those of who don't know of these. But I thought of all the vehicles to see on the tube... I just couldn't believe it.

Was thinking there was no way , just a quick spotting of a mountaineer. But yep. Debadged, no side runners, but yep... and now I have questions.
