Donor seats have arrived for the 2+2 modifications for Big White Ford Explorer (2000 Ford Explorer Limited)
The donor seats from a 1998 Ford Windstar have arrived for the next phase of my Big White Ford Explorer project - the 2+2 configuration based off of the 1997 Ford Explorer Tremor Concept SUV. . I’ve been looking for these for several years. The 98 rear seats are different from the 95-97 and 99- Windstar seats.
When Ford built the 97 Explorer Tremor, they used modified 1998 Windstar seats for a 2+2 configuration for the 2nd row with a full length center console than extended through both rows. Although I cannot share the photo of the interior of the Explorer Tremor concept, the attached photo of the Urus 2+2 interior will give you an idea what they did. I will duplicate exactly as the concept in Big White.
