Hi everyone.

I was wondering if I could get everyones opinion. I have a 3 inch body lift right now and in a couple months I am going be installing the 5.5 superlift. I was wondering what you guys would think about the X being that high. Would it look funny. I think it will look to narrow for the height and also I am worried about greatly depreciating the center of gravity to make it completely unsafe to drive. Has anybody ever seen a lift like this. If anyone has any pictures that would be nice too. Thanks alot.

There are a few Xs here with more than 8.5" of total lift. Most aren't used as daily drivers, but they can be. What size tires are you looking to run? With that much lift, I would look into getting rid of the body lift, or at least stepping it down an inch or so.

Robb

btw: this is mine...somwhere in the ballpark of 9-11"

Oh man.

I just bought the body lift in december and dont really want to downgrade. morrisey0 your truck is cool, are those 35s. To me, X-1's 33's look kinda like stock tires which scares me because that would mean they would have to be 35's and I have heard that the dana 35 bearings cant handle 35's.

I will be going to 35's, it's a small price to pay with added wheel bearing maintaince. Ii think if you pay a little more attention to the bearings it will bw okay, most guys are talking about replacing or repacking about every 15,000 miles, that comes out to a once a year thing to me. The 33's will look better when I put wider wheels on, but it does ride good.

Oh really

I thought that if you put 35's on every time you go offroading you would blow your bearings just by a sudden shock or something. I already maintain my bearings like twice a year so I have nothing to worry about.

There is always the chance of blowing parts, but I think it just really shortens their life, others have run them, Jon over on the flex board was running them.

Here's mine on 9in of lift w/ 33in boggers

Do you always run boggers or are those just for trail??

Just a question for you guys with 9" + of lift: Are your Exs daily drivers?

Mine is, atleast for another year.

Heres mine with 8.5" of lift with 35" claws. Mine now has fiberglass with 36" TSLs. And mine is driven on the street every day with no sway bars. NO problem!!
