im gonna drop a 98 4.0 into a 93-94 4.0 ranger. before i do i want to bolt on a set of headers on the 98 engine. i was told all of the ohv's are the same. if so, should i be able to bolt on a set of headers for a 93-94 on the 98 engine and drop it in? is the reason for there being no headers for...

cool, so all of the vacuum hoses that go to the intake manifold will plug in? if not, the old intake manifolds(upper and lower) should bolt onto the new engine, right?

as some of you know im getting a new 4.0 to replace my high milage one in my ranger. the new engine is for a 95-96(i think???) and has the black intake manifold. will i have any problems dropping it in the 94 ranger that origanally had the older 4.0 with the metal intake manifold...

yes an it is an ohv engine. i dont want to deal with the wiring required to put that engine in. plus im going to get a very good deal on the ohv crate motor.

has anyone ever seen or thought of doing this? ive seen it done on bronco IIs so it should be the same on an explorer. it looks like the best place to make the cut would be where the side rear window is and up and over the top. anyone have any ideas for a soft top? what about for a tailgate...
