disc brake explorer rear end into a ranger

i dont have an explorer but i was wondering if you guys could help me with putting a disc brake explorer rear axle into a ranger prerunner. my main concern is the braking system. will my ranger brake lines just bolt up to the explorer junction block? i was told by someone that i will need to run all new hard lines to the master cylinder, i find that hard to believe. i am assuming that the ranger is the same platform as an explorer so it will use the same braking components and master cylinders, right?

any other advice would be appreciated.

8.8 axle

You do not have to run new lines from the master
cylinder but you do have to measure for new lines
from the Ranger tubing to the Explorer tubing.
It's one of those things that you just have to look at
and you will know what to do. The axle tube from the
Explorer is 3.25 inches and you will need new spring
pads. Try M.O.R.E. 1-970-625-0500 , they seem to
be the only company that sells 3.25 spring pads.

It's a great swap, the rear discs will really change the
look of your truck.
