    Anybody got a Hurst short throw?

    hurst shifter with 3" lift Forgot to put the 1/4" plates were 1" by 5" long. I drilled them and used 4 bolts and lock nuts. Hope this clears it up.

    installed hurst shifter with 3" body lift I installed hurst shifter with 3" body lift no problems I just installed two 1/4" plates one on each side of shifter to make it 3" longer works great. Now the noise every one is wondering about is normal it's the same sound the old 3 and 4 speed stick...

    01M01 Mileage limit?

    If the noise goes away you most likely need 00m12 recall but mileage limit is 72k on it also there it a time limit on both recalls to 7yr or 100k warr on 01m01 from start date you may be out.

    01m01 was only for 97' and 98' oom12 was from 97' to 01'

    May or may not work I had the same problem with second and third gears I drained trans and refilled with Redline ATF I called them first and they said there fluid would fix the problem for 30$ I tried it it works first time trans. has shifted this smooth takes 3Qts good luck

    yes it will be the same one in kit if you have a cold start up stall problem you may still need the o-rings

    if you have a 99' explorer you shouldn't need the cass may need 00m12 which is a lh tensiner and o-rings cass. 01m01 was for 97 and 98 only

    sorry about not getting back to you. the 99 on up uses the 00m12 only which will fix start-up stall and idle and also lh side chain noise you may or may not have up-dated tensiner in your truck if you look beside the thermstat housing ds side you will find the tensioner if it has about a inch...

    oil pan pull your oil pan metal pan bottom engine very easy to do if your chain guides came apart it will be full of plastic clean out may need to remove sump to clean I've done 100's of the chain guide and tensiner recall's only engine problems were from poor maintenance not a ford problem

    sorry didn't see he had ohv engine some ohv engines do have a marbleing nosie in tem do to short skirt pistons ford has a ssm out on it 99' to 00' 4.0l ohv engines won't hurt engine life

    hi the oom12 recall is a new updated tensioner for LH timing chain and is free if milage under 72k it will fix the noise
