This forum has lost some great people.
Dr. Jack Lobdell was one of the forum's founding members. 17 years ago Jack and I met in Moab for a fantastic weekend of fourwheeling. I'll be thinking of him next week when I return.

Looking forward to following your project:chug:
I hope you can get your daughters Explorer up and running without too much expense.
I visited Vancouver Island once. Ferried our RV over there. What a great place!
I'm sorry to hear you won't be able to join us. I completely understand how life can get in the way of the things we like to do. I've had to cancel some of my own plans this year.
I hope all is well with you and your family. That's what's important.

Sounds like a nice offroad rig. Welcome to the forum.
We meet at Truck Haven a couple times a year, out by Salton City. Watch for our runs in the Offroad Event Planning subforum. We should be back out there in October:chug:
The pump motor will also run hotter from doubling the voltage. Considering how long it has to run when used as a stand alone unit, it wouldn't last long. The way it's going to be setup as a backup, the 12v pump will work fine.
