Yeah I thought so to. Because my engine light came on again I went by Midas and they also quoted about $2k for replacement for both cats. From what the midas guy showed and told me, universal cats won't fit so special order 'OEM' were required. It's hard for me to believe that Midas uses OEM...

I took the x in because that engine light was on. The papaerwork says diagnostics returned the following codes: P1507, P0230 and P0240. The replace the IAC (?) and said my converters were bad. I think the quote was over $2k to relace converters. For the code interpeters what do these codes...

Hi all, I am having the same problem as original poster. Is there a way to test a relay to see if it is bad or not and would it cause an intermittent cold starting problem? Also, would they be available from AutoZone or PepBoys or do I have to go to the dealer parts dept.? Thanks...

Update Okay so I got lazy and had a 8" JL installed in the OEM box (w/apparent modifications similar to Tonga above. I am happy with it while standing still and going below 50mph but, for some reason when I am running 70mph+ I seem to lose all base with the front speakers taking completely...
