How to: 1.5" body lift for less than $50

Just to let everybody know, you can fit 2" blocks on the explorer. You will have to do a little trimming on the rear. The front you will need to make a bracket to lift it. No problems with anything else, will post a pic later.

Brian was right, I had a little accident while wheeling bent my wheels and busted my coil overs so I put the struts back on and take it easy on it now. Only easy trails for it now.

What are the specs on these? Also I would like to see how they did the offset bushing on the lower mount. I have some Fox coilovers, that I got with a extension, that I would rather mount in stock location. Thanks.

How to: Install Fuel Tank Skid Plate

The transfer case skid is stronger than it looks, like Ronin said I high centered my explorer while wheeling last weekend, bent it a little but it protected the transfer case.

    3rd gen Explorer Coilovers

That is what I am thinking. I guess I'll may start looking into it, I know we would have to do something with hole in the frame, and the rear crossmember for more clearance.

    3rd gen Explorer Coilovers

    3rd gen Explorer Coilovers

Well I took it wheeling this weekend, coilovers helped a lot, but the damn rear on these 3rd gens really limits what you can do. The Explorer did great up at Coal Creek, I only had trouble one time when we were climbing a hill and at the top the was a huge boulder right in the middle, I go hi...

    3rd gen Explorer Coilovers

Well it's been about a month with the coilovers and everything is great. The ride is way better, less noise in the front. I removed the front swaybar and can not tell the difference in the ride, way better flex now. I am going wheeling next weekend and I'll let everybody know how it went.

How to: Front Upper and Lower Control Arm Replacement

Alright when I did the coilover conversion, I changed the lower control arm. Wasn't too bad. I found by using a torch to heat up the front bolt on the lower control arm, reall made it a lot easier to take off. Also keeping the the lower arm level made it easier to remove the knuckle. Great...

my 03 xlt on 31x13.50x15 check it out tell me whatcha think

Yea you should be fine, just keep a eye on those upper joints. I only had the 1.75" spacer on mine, the only trouble I had was the boots busting on my ball joints. I wheel mine pretty hard so that was probably why that kept happening to me.

How to: How I changed my 05's Front Wheel Bearing

I changed mine a couple weeks ago, no problems. Used a little torch to heat up the bolts, they broke loose quickly after that.

    3rd gen Explorer Coilovers

I don't think there is much more I am going to do, may do the rear coilovers. I would like to do a bumper, but without a plasma cutter would be a little harder.

    3rd gen Explorer Coilovers
