    not reall yalot of boost only 8-9 psi is what the gates are set for. Its just a stock PI motor. The turbochargers have tiny housings which will if my caluclations are correct spool very quickly. I already had been pushing 8 psi thru the motor but that was with a tiny ineffecient turbo. Someday...

    I agree with the whole trying to go NA route. building a good torque monster of a 4.0 is possible but costs alot. If you want more power i would really recomend forced induction since the factory internals are strong to begin with

    the AF gauges that tap into your narrow band O2 sensors are useless. There nothing but a light show. You need a real wideband to get actual results. The AEM UEGOs go for about 200$ on ebay there a widley used wideband. under boost AFR should be around 11:1-12:1.

But it did rattle a little depending on load. it never pings when i have the boost turned down to 5psi and thats the plan until i get a wideband someday.     if you retarded the timing like that it would probally have terrible performance. EGTs would be elevated by the unburnt fuel burning in the exhaust. Performance would be horrible, lacking power, overheating......You can try but dont be suprised to find terrible performance. The spout is on...

    If you just leave the motor as is and try fored induction you may be more sucessful. The 4.0 can take boost and if its tuned correctly you could be on your way in no time.     my turbo 4.0 does have off the line power depending on the gear im i see full boost before 2K. I threw a turbo on my truck stricly because it was a turd hauling loads and trying to get up a hill, passing.....My goal with turbocharging my 4.0 was and is torque and wicked fast response.

A single large T3 would spool befroe max torque and pound for pound you will see more power improvment than a blower as your not robbing the crank of power.     The only way to achive gobs of torque and powa outa a 4.0 ohv is a fully built setup (heads, cam, tuning, full exhaust) which costs lots of money $$$$$ or boosting it which can also cost alot of $$$$ just depends which way you want to go.

    if it pulled spout i belive the timing would retreat to 10* that would be way too low. You could maybe try that with the octane adjust plug. The adjust plug should pull 3*. Im just going to wait until I get the MS stuff. i dont get any detonation at 5 psi just when i try and pull it higher

    the only cylinder that was getting wet was #6 i found the culprit. I havent had them magnafluxed however with a look over the heads are in pretty good shape. Im just going to clean them up and throw it back together. My last set of heads cracked so bad the middle CCs were sideways and valves...

    a jet chip is a waste of time and money. If you have a 95 or newer EEC V setup you could go with the SCT stuff. xcalibrator 2s can be had for cheap and skip the X3 its junk. The xcalibrator 2s can be found way cheaper than that 300+$$$$ jet junk

    the plate running down the middle of the maf is a anti reversion plate. Its there so intake pulses and growl noise that flow backward dont get measured twice throwing the reading off
