    well, i removed the transmisson yesterday, stripped it down, got out the rebuild kit i bought from the states and guess what, no reverse band, and thats whats gone in mine, when i ordered the kit i specifically stated that i required a reverse band and they said there was one in the kit...

    thanks for that, i just put a screwdriver up the servo hole and it looks like the band is snapped, am i right in thinking that if it's just sloppy up and down that it's snapped? there was no springyness to it, thanks, neil

    hi, well, did them last night and all is now fine, no high revs first thing and no chuggyness, it was pretty easy to do, i read the haynes manual AFTER doing the job and you don't need to do half of what they say, the old seals were really brittle, hope this helps, neil
