well,
i removed the transmisson yesterday,
stripped it down,
got out the rebuild kit i bought from the states and guess what, no reverse band, and thats whats gone in mine,
when i ordered the kit i specifically stated that i required a reverse band and they said there was one in the kit,
but there wasn't,
now i'm stuck, i needed the car back on the road tomorrow,
does anyone know where i can get one from as a matter of urgency????
i am going to try and order one today from the states but if i can find one quicker i'll happily buy another,

thanks,
neil

Contact the place you ordered it from. Since it's their mistake, let them cover the cost of sending it overnight (if that's possible overseas). I've deleted your other thread since it's the same as this one. Please don't make more than one thread on the same topic in different sections.

Some models of the Jaguar used the A4LD/5R55E type trannys. I don't remember the specific models. Maybe someone will post the specific vehicles.

You should be able to buy the reverse band from your Jaguar dealer.

Agreed on what they said, those are your best choices.

FYI, rebuild kits will almost never include bands, those are almost always separate parts.

thanks for the replies guys,
the rebuild kit included 2 bands, and the company assured me a reverse band,
it's interestig knowing that jaguar used the same,
i actually have a V12 xjs,
i'm just stuck with no car tomorrow,
i can threaten all i can but they are 5000 miles away and nothing can magic one into my garage,

thanks,
neil
