Because it was an issue with the circuit boards inside the cameras. They now have to be replaced at Fords cost and then pay dealers labor to replace them all.

I haven't been following this in depth. My 2020 had the latest software/recall update done back when it came out in March (or there abouts) and haven't had any issues with it (yet). The camera was replaced once too last year I think. If it's a camera issue, I'd think it would still be faster...

I'm surprised they aren't shipping them to let the dealers hold them. If it will be a software update, the dealer can flash it and send it. Filling up the storage lots will take forever to clear them, especially with the rail shortage adding to it.

Just had all 7 of mine replaced a couple weeks ago. Drivers was peeling and Lincoln dealership replaced all. This must have been in the system for a while before the letters were sent out. Assuming this issue has finally been fixed once and for all since they want all to be replaced.

I drain it from the top and don't ever bother going from underneath. Much easier standing up and doing the changes. I do it this way on all my vehicles.

As linked by Peter and others, the tow hook eye was removed mid production of 2020. The same plastic part is being used as I'm sure it would cost more to remanufacture it as a solid piece so it's continued to be used. Your dealer should know this by now being it hasn't been installed for 3 years.

That's what mine was doing, the initial 1-2 seconds when going into reverse and only after the first startup Got it updated yesterday and so far so good. Will be watching.

Dealerships can't sell vehicles with active recalls. All recalls need to be performed before it can be sold.

The grey seems to be new since the update. Prior to this latest recall update, it was always green or blue. As far as vibration in the steering wheel, a simple tire/wheel rebalancing should fix it. If they are out of balance, request a road force balance.

Yup, tiny dipstick, has the numbers 1-6 on it and depending on trans model, the range varies. Barely any room above it to get it out since you have to pull straight up and better wear a heat protective glove.

There is a dipstick under the car on the side of the trans between it and the exhaust pipe. Has to be at operating temp so high risk of getting burned on the exhaust.

Thank goodness it doesn't appear the 6th gen has any issues with paint peeling. Pretty confident in saying that issue has been resolved since the plagued 5th gen and other Ford's like the expedition.

The link states the recall is 23S05 and letters will be mailed next month. Nothing to do with the one you linked.

Yes but the recall isn't replacement. Yours obviously had a defective camera but that's not what this recall is. Purely software.
