May EF Lottery
I'm going with our olé salt Al Frankin, board name aldive. I'm not sure a lot of newer members know of him, but he had a 1999 4 door that got 30mpg with his witchcraft voodoo science. :D His truck thread with all of his craziness. :) His most famous thread was the HHO generator thread.- FROADER

4 inch lift?
That was right after I installed the lift, so I think the front actually settled a little. It did rub VERY slightly on the pinch weld of the firewall which was an easy fix (big hammer).- FROADER

Sorry, I don't. Superlift and Skyjacker seem to be the most popular. TrailMaster was known to pop a hole in the aluminum front diff, unless you grind down the corner of the bracket. Rancho had a 4" lift using 2.5" lift brackets and 4" springs.- FROADER

4 inch lift?
Because you can. I don't see anywhere that Mark says you can't fit 33s with a 4" lift. Plenty of people have. I don't think any of them ride better than others on the street. This is my first explorer with a TrailMaster 4" and 33x12.5s on 8" AE wheels.- FROADER

New Ranger owner
Since it's not a daily driver, I'd go for it since that is so cheap! I had 4.56s with my 35s and 36s and wish I went lower, and 5.13s is what I would have done. Even in 4-lo, it's not really low enough for real crawling type of terrain. On another note, here is RangerX's rig in it's element...- FROADER

King of the Hammers 2016 - Discussion and pics
Chocolate Thunder was way more interesting to watch this year. On BD, everyone was giving it one light attempt and then winching. Now on Thursday evening, it was great with everyone (non-racer) just going for it. On CT there were different lines so there was some passing, had 1 roll-over, and a...- FROADER

What about Back Door, Steve? I'm back and had a blast, but I don't think I have ever gotten that dirty in only 2 days before. :fart: Having the UTVs was key. We were able to go to different obstacles and have fun doing it. I'm going through photos (I took a ton of them) and will post a link...- FROADER

Getting excited! 30 more minutes then I can start packing the trucks and trailers with the UTVs. The Yamaha YXZ (Jason Weller) did an excellent job getting 7th in their first appearance at KOH!- FROADER

I'm back home and already miss being out there. I needed this trip, very much. It was great to see everyone, and it's been too long. I hope to make the trips more regularly again. Thanks, Ted. I actually just found a fox file with all of the waypoints and "track points" on pirate. Able to view them on my phone. I'll have to put it in my GPS as well. We'll have 2 UTVs to get everywhere as well. Looking forward to it!- FROADER
