You might need to press the button that says "RESET" to change the value. My dad's 2005 XLT has the Message Center and I know whenever I do an oil change and reset the computer, it says "Press Reset to clear." If that doesn't do it, check the owner's manual (if you got one with it).

With my previous Explorer, the largest load it carried was a 1/4 pallet of landscape stones. Thing weighed about 600 lbs and the truck was squatting a bit in the rear. With the current one...nothing that extreme. Only 10 bags of topsoil.
