Thats another option, rather not go down to a 4 speed, but the 4r55e is still an option to consider for my price range.

Yep, a few people have made a couple threads on a 6r60 swap, due its changes in build and connections, it's vastly different and would take plenty of work and probably a standalone controller to even make work a lil' bit. If I ever think about doing a 4.6l or 5.0 V8 swap, maybe I'll consider it...
