    Lighting (?) issue??

And now, the window Did this tonight (FINALLY! Been very busy since this original post) and all the lights inside, except the CC light, and keyless entry pad light work fine. Not concerned about either, however... I left work today, rolled up the front windows to make a phone call, back...

    Lighting (?) issue??

Okay, did another search and found a picture of the wire in the raceway, at driver's side rear door. The wiring most often mentioned (one pink yellow(?) in to 3 others) seems to be perfectly intact. I pulled the heat shrink back and the connection and condition of the wires seems to be fine...

    Lighting (?) issue??

Yeah, I did the search before I posted. I was pretty sure the CC issue was just the bulb, and, there's only two buttons, so, no biggie. Didn't find anything in particular about the wires in the door post, but, I'll try and do a refined search. Thanks.

    Lighting (?) issue??

I posted a follow up to a thread earlier, about the lighting in my driver's side courtesy light not working, even after changing the bulb out. When I got in my Ex tonight, I started to look around and realized NONE of the lighting on the driver's side door works. No lights on the window...

    anybody know why?

Okay, a follow up question to this. I replaced the bulbs and the passenger's side works fine, however, the driver's side courtesy light still doesn't work. I checked the wire, and followed it up in to the harness bundle: no frays, no exposed spots, no burn marks. Any ideas on what else I...

    98 Explorer. very sad =[

Get some tools, get a friend, get some money together, find a "U-Pull-It" type junk yard. Find out which years will match yours (1995-01?) and pull them off of one at a salvage yard. This takes a little bit of know how and a decent, but not huge, set of tools. For specialty tools, like a...

    Belt Tensioner

It's the same on most Fords, pretty much across the board. It's a fairly easy fix, though, if you have big hands, I recommend getting help with putting the bolt back in. As stated before, there is a square spot in the tensioner itself, on the back (fire wall) side of the tensioner. Put a...

Need info from those that know

This solves the problem. The input of the power supply for the laptop is "110-240volts 2.5AMPS" so...if I sort of split down the middle and go, say, 180x2.5=450watts. Basic logic says that a 400w power inverter won't work. So, tomorrow, I will be getting a 750.

Need info from those that know

Need info from those that know

I am planning a road trip. I want to take my laptop with me and run it off of a power inverter. This way I can run my GPS on my laptop, and a few other things that are on there, and surf the net at rest stops, etc. Does anyone know what SIZE power inverter I need? I've seen them at the parts...

    Check Engine light, EGR Code

As stated in a previous thread, my Check Engine light came on. Had it scanned and it said it was an EGR code. Someone here told me to post the actual code. I had it redone today, and the code that came up was: P0401. Any ideas? I really don't want to go through the entire EGR system piece...

    MAJOR issue!!!! Please HELP!!

It's a controlled burn of the lands around the pads. They do them all the time. This one just happened to be really sizable. Probably something to do with an instant weather change from low 90s to high 60s in 24 hours. After the fact, I took the X in to Auto Zone and had the alternator...

    MAJOR issue!!!! Please HELP!!

Took all the wires off, reconnected them. Then, jump started it and drove it around (nice big fire going on at NASA right now). Drove it back home and parked it, let it set for a few minutes. Turned the key over and it fired right up. I've said it before, and I'll say it again... I LOVE THIS...

    MAJOR issue!!!! Please HELP!!

And THIS is why I belong to forums. Went out and checked on it this morning. I DID, in fact, miss the wire from the alternator to the solenoid. The connector ring fell behind another wire and I didn't see it. Now, before I screw anything ELSE up... There is a thick wire with a double...

    MAJOR issue!!!! Please HELP!!

    Maybe a ridiculous question, but...

I have a 96 XLT with SportTrac. There is a rather substantial thumping in the front passenger's side tire, that increases, equally, with acceleration. My guess is the hub needs to be replaced. I'm going to replace both front hubs at once. When I look on various parts sites, and even eBay, I...
