I posted a follow up to a thread earlier, about the lighting in my driver's side courtesy light not working, even after changing the bulb out.

When I got in my Ex tonight, I started to look around and realized NONE of the lighting on the driver's side door works. No lights on the window buttons, door lock buttons, side-view mirror adjuster...nada.

I replaced the master switch today, but, that is not the cause (my g/f informs me of my lack of attention to detail and states they haven't worked since we got it in June). I replaced the master switch because she couldn't work the window from her (passenger's) side of the vehicle. Once I replaced it, her side worked fine. The lights on her side also work.

I have no lights on the On/Off button on the cruise control, but the C/C buttons on the right hand side of the wheel light up. No courtesy light, window/door lock lights, mirror adjust lights.

The master lock switch, on the driver's side, deosn't operate the door locks, however, the passenger's side switch works them all. The window switches on the driver's side do work, and, the keyless entry pad functions, it just doesn't light up. I replaced that switch as well, and even tested it with one I know to be working.

So...the question is, is there a fuse that I need to check somewhere that may be out? A wiring connection that needs to be looked at?
Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Anyone? All the fuses in the fuse panel, at the driver's side door, are intact.

the cc bulb is burnt... thousands of posts. As for the rest... likely broken wires in the door post... again lots of posts.

Yeah, I did the search before I posted. I was pretty sure the CC issue was just the bulb, and, there's only two buttons, so, no biggie.

Didn't find anything in particular about the wires in the door post, but, I'll try and do a refined search. Thanks.

Okay, did another search and found a picture of the wire in the raceway, at driver's side rear door. The wiring most often mentioned (one pink yellow(?) in to 3 others) seems to be perfectly intact. I pulled the heat shrink back and the connection and condition of the wires seems to be fine, and the wires are still intact and shiny.

I pulled the boot, between driver's door and door frame, down and there are about 4 or 5 wires that aren't connected. They look like they have been broken or cut, but, not clean, like with wire cutters. Yellow, pink/lt. green, black/lt. blue, pink/yellow.

Is there a logical way to re-run these wires back through the harness to add some connecting pieces and reconnect these wires?

Okay, I found the colors in the wiring diagram. So the question still remains is there a logical (nothing about it looks "simple" so I won't ask that one) way to do this repair? My only guess is pull the wires from the lower end of the harness, inside the kick panel, and connect them there and feed them back through the boot.

I pulled the kick panel, by the e-brake off and found the harness, but, not sure what the best way is to go about reconnecting all of these.

And, do they even have anything to do with my door locks and lights? I checked the wiring diagram that was posted in another thread, but, didn't see these particular wires on the schematic.

Thanks for any help.

well... the wires that are broken should have "two sides"... that have to be connected back together .... BUT you will find that difficult as the resulting lengths are going to be shorter than before which will likely cause "immediate breakage". Most people add a "generic length" of wire into each "splice".

And now, the window

Did this tonight (FINALLY! Been very busy since this original post) and all the lights inside, except the CC light, and keyless entry pad light work fine. Not concerned about either, however...

I left work today, rolled up the front windows to make a phone call, back windows were already up.

The driver's side window got all but about an inch and a half up and stopped. All other window work fine with all associated buttons.

The window motor was replaced about 3 months ago. When I push the button for the window to go down, I hear a clicking noise at the relay (under the dash), but not when I push the button to go up. I do hear, after removing the door panel, a clicking at the motor when the button is pushed in either directions.

I've searched for several posts on this, and none of them seem to have the answer. Most of the issues have been the relay is bad (noted by not hearing it click) or with the wiring being bad, as stated, I've rewired the broken wires in the boot in the door frame.

Any help is appreciated. I'm sure it's something small and ridiculous, however, I have NO idea what that would be.

Thanks.
