I can't see why a hair dryer wouldn't work, might just take a little longer. I'd try turning the screw like you're tightening it briefly before you try to unscrew it too, sometimes that helps break the lock.

I got the same tip as Chris and didn't like the look of the clamp and I wanted something that went further down so you couldn't see the ugly tailpipe so for $50 I went to the local muffler shop and got a stainless tip that they welded on.

Ok, so suddenly today the average MPG on my message center is reading as an instant MPG and is going anywhere from 9 mpg to 49 mpg. If I am at a stop it just starts to go down and when I accelerate it jumps right up. No idea why or how to fix it. Anyone had this issue?

would any of you describe the vibration as almost feeling as though the 4 wheel drive is engaged? I have 70K on mine and I am getting a pretty good vibration that I can feel through the steering wheel. It is pretty noticeable all the time, but more so coasting down a hill or accelerating uphill.
