Thanks man it worked like a charm on my 95 xlt and my 00 sport

Ok so I went to the junkyard today and picked up a new shaft the boot on the top is fine but the bottom one is torn a little my question is Is the bottom boot supposed to be closed or does it come open? It doesnt look like it was ever closed

how did you free it up?

no promblems now? I think i got a bad power steering pump I just put it on. It worked fine for a little now its messing up again. How much is a Rack? and you said you had it installed what did that run? thanks in advance

well my explorer lost power steering so i replaced the pump it worked perfect for about a hour of running it then it got hard to turn again. I took it to the carwash to clean everything after the new pump was installed to check for leaks. I sprayed everything down got back in and it worked...
