I have a few gauges not working on my 96 Explorer. friend has a 98 Ranger he wrecked and said I could have the cluster. Will the Ranger cluster work? The gauge layout looks different.

Settings 1, 2, & 3 increment as they should. Switching from 3 to 4 changes nothing for fan speed but the fan does run as it does on 3. I did an hour of searching and found only posts about fans taht only work on High which is the resistor pack. Any ideas?
