Thanks for the quick reply. I wanted to go to the link, but it doesn't appear to work when I click on it. I was just wondering if the speed governor would explain the first hard shift then the normal operation after that. The problem isn't really 1st gear, but that it won't shift out of 1st...
This is gonna be a little long winded, but I am quite confused as to what's up with the a4ld in my 93 ex. The symptoms are as follows: when it is cold out, the tranny will not upshift from 1st gear until it has been rode at 4000 rpms for approx. 1-2 miles. Not good! What I am able to do is...
I need to know if it is possible to use an A4LD from a 2.9 on a 4.0. I want to use the tranny from an 87 Bronco II in my 93 Explorer if I can. They are both 4 wheel drive. Please let me know if this is possible, and mods I would have to make, if any. Thanks.
Alec,
Thanks for the reply, but here's another question: would I be able to use the one currently on the 93 tranny, or is this an after market part I would have to buy for a conversion. Sorry for my ignorance, and thanks for the help.
I was hoping someone could tell me whether or not I can use a tranny from a 91 Sport 2WD in my 93 XLT 4WD. I am not sure whether or not it will bolt up to transfer case, but I figured someone here could probably shed some light on this for me. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
