I was doing some research on our little Mazda 3s, which has an eletric throttle body like the 2004 4.6ltr Explorer. In the write up, they have grounded the throttle body, due to the fact it wasn't grounded, just powered. It seems running a wire from a bolt on the throttle body to the negative...

I have wondered that.. my 04 4.6v8, refuses to spin unless very very wet.. it seems to retard the ignition or something so that it won't step sideways on a downshift.. which is great if you are a soccer mom. :D Which I am not. :p

I have an 2002 Explorer Sport... with the 5 speed manual. Bought it new so I know most things about it that I need to know. Except the fact that the few times I have missed a gear while, oh, driving spiritedly... that tach needle will swing WAY the crap past 6k!! Still running strong and...

Sometimes moving the sterring with the vehicle off gets air in the powersterring unit and it will do that, but it usually works itself out.

I have replaced good plugs with Bosch+4s in the past(mustang GT) and have had the same results. Not more power but a definent smoother 'feel' at speed. Overall better than the standard plugs. Stigs $ .02 ;) I just replaced my Explorer plugs with the Autolite Double Plats.. I like them so far..

My girlfriend is also Romanian and says pretty much the same thing as does her dad who had one of these... she said they have to be tough to put up with some of the terrain and weather there.. Maybe when we go skying next year in Romania I can get my hands on one.. hehe :cool:

Maybe that much more Horespower(from a flash or chip) will get rid of that dead spot haha.. It is fine but you either have to rev it way past what you want or shift too early to really, get what you want out of it (compared to shifting a,fun to drive car)... if of course you are racing some...

To just benefit yes, but I want to get all of the benefit, so I am wondering if a larger MAF will allow enough HP gain over stock (to notice) on a N/A engine or does the stock MAF flow well enough... Looking for N/A gain at its up-most in other words (with my set-up).

In the mode of question asking.. On my 2002 sport SOHC, should I get a bigger MAF before chipping? For bests results or will the factory stuff do well.. *note I have a K&N drop in filter in a very cut box, along with a Magnaflow 2.5in exhaust... Thanks stig.

I currently have the stock 235/70/16s on the ride.. I want 255's.. But a 255/70/16 will through the speedo off right? What size can I get with out changing the speedo? Thanks.

Mine does it too... Only in certain RPM ranges though. Pretty sure I have heard it was normal..

20% on the fronts and the smalls... limo on the rear window and limo on the front strip...
