Thanks alot, I know that there is a fuse for the alarm, I'll have to check the manual again but I think the alarm was tied in with some other things that I would rather not do without.

I'm not gonna take it to a dealer, its annoying but I'm not ready to spend a fortune on it yet.

I did read the manual, but all it tells me is how to make it stop going off, not how to make it so it won't go off. Its a factory car alarm or else I could track down the wires myself.

The car alarm on my explorer goes off all the time for no apparent reason, does anybody know how to permanently deactivate it? I'm not above cutting wires if I can figure out which wires to cut.

I'm with marragtop on this. My 95 had the light blink, I unhooked the battery and reset the code and I've now drove it for over a year with no tranny problems and the light hasn't come back on yet.

My right headlight went out on dim, so I figured no big deal and bought a bulb, but that didn't fix it. Checked the fuse, its good too. My fog lights don't work either. I'm out of ideas. I'm guessing broken wire, but where do you start looking? Anybody else have this problem? Thanks,

I go strictly by the MPG that is calculated by the computer in my console. Don't know how accurate it is, but according to it I usually get 18 to 20 for mixed city/highway driving, 16 or less for mostly city, and around 22 for mostly interstate. The best I have ever done is 25 for interstate.

Yeah this isn't really a big deal, I don't really think anybody is going to be driving one of these for a personal car or to pick the kids up. They are commercial duty trucks for commercial use.

No they were trying to make sure you didn't need a CDL to drive it, if the GVWR is under 26,000 you can operate it with a chauffer's license. But if they hook a trailer on it the will need the CDL.

I wouldn't think that just having the doors open would be too hard on your battery, but I would like to know where the door buttons are because apperently on of mine isn't working because the door ajar light is on all the time.

I did a search and found how to reset the computer, the light stopped blinking. I guess I am going to go ahead and drive it and if the light starts blinking again I will get the code checked. Thanks guys
