Hey guys, I think I figured out something that can narrow it down, but I still can't figure out how to fix it: The rattle is somewhere in the front left part of the seat. If I put pressure with my hand on the front left corner (like squeezing it tight), the rattle stops. This doesn't happen...

No mods. They are leather heated seats, do you think that has something to do with it? I tried your suggestion, but I think it's something "in" the seat itself, because the rattle doesn't happen when someone is sitting on it.

There is a very annoying rattle that's either in or under the passenger seat. Of course it doesn't happen while the car is not moving, so do you have any ideas what it might be? I have an '07 explorer with the leather seats. Thanks

I am going to replace the Autolite spark plugs in my 2007 V8 Explorer with Motorcraft SP514's. Is there a recommended torque that the plugs should be tightened to? Thanks

I will be changing the spark plugs on my 2007 V8 Explorer soon. In Ford's publication TSB 08-7-6 it says to "crank engine to clear combustion chamber" before installing the new plugs. How do I do that without starting the engine?? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. It is sputtering, as from a misfire. But does it make sense that it would happen when slowing down to a stop, not stepping on the gas? It does usually happen when my foot is on the brake, but I wouldn't say it's 100% of the time. Thanks again

My 2007 Explorer started making an odd noise (kind of like an airplane) at speeds 40mph and higher. As I slow down to a stop, the noise goes away. Any idea what it could be? Thanks!
