Just watched a Youtube on an Explorer issue. The battery was draining down overnight, new battery and all. Traced it to a short to the windshield washer line in the tailgate. Goes to the rear camera. Was dripping on a connector causing the short.

My XLT does have the forward sensors, it will pop up a display when something is to close. They call it “Front Parking Aid”, page 195 in the owner’s manual.

I will hit that button going thru the car wash. Turns off all the sensors in overload mode.

Changed my filter out last summer. Someone else changed it out before and broke the hinge I placed it back and seated it back on the pins. After it’s lines up, cannot notice any difference when the door is open. Glove box door is hardly used anyway.

I had to use a lot of force to make mine unlatch. Holding the lever up, reached down and pulled it up at the same time. Sprayed some white grease on the floor points to make it easier next time.

Spent the $126 the other day on my AC. It was cooling but warmer temps at higher speeds. Connected to a Snap On machine and was several ounces low on coolant. Had that clutch growling noise for a couple years also. Correct amount of Freon and Oil and working much better. 35 degrees.

Yes, you just touch around the Lug nuts and check the temp compared to the other wheels. I could smell pads/rotors sometimes also. Actually did one side then held off. Better way is to both at same time, because other was doing the same a month later.

I had both rear brake calipers sticking on mine. Would make noise at slow speeds. Best way I checked was the temperature of the wheels after driving several miles.
