1350 tcase Ujoint
I have a 1350 manual transfer case from an 88 bronco2 in my 2002 Explorer Sport and currently going through the case. It has a Ujoint inside the case for the front output and I’m needing to replace it. Now where in the heck do I find one of these ujoints??? Having zero luck so far! Any help...- Birdy

Looking for Explorer...but which one? New to Explorer-ville...
5.0 started in 96 and would probably give you the least drivetrain problems, (probably none). They also don’t have transponder keys till 98, so no issues to worry about there either. Second gens have a very reliable chassis also, just expect worn out ball joints which is no big deal. I...- Birdy

Moab 2018 Dates June 1 - 3
Going to do my best to get there, won’t know for sure for a couple months anyway. I believe the black one can finally make a trip without breaking down. It’s first time in Moab breaking the steering, then it’s next trip in Black Mountain with the drivetrain getting pushed into the radiator, all...- Birdy

I thought the terrain was great! I love the mud and rock gardens! Definitely want to go back, just not next year, want to go back to Moab. So... maybe in two years, or just take a week sometime and go. I think my wife has some more pics I can post.- Birdy

All I think I got left is making a spare tire carrier on the back, and find some spare dana 44 axles from work. I'm just gonna assume I'll break a joint up there.- Birdy

We're up for the seafood and are staying at the Harlan County Campground. And after watching some videos on the Lions Den, I think we'll stay away from that one. I really don't want to smash up the body, right now I only have a front fender to replace and it'll be straight again. Still trying to...- Birdy

My '96 Expo
And now to resolve the tippy issue, swapped the front leafs for some 3/4 ton leafs. Then purchased some 38.5" Swamper Boggers! Oh, and lowered the suspension a couple inches. Getting ready for the trip to Kentucky now, this is after it's test run with new bigger tires, only broke a Ujoint in the...- Birdy

Then a while after that, upgraded to dana 44 and 36" Super Swampers, swapped in both front and rear axles from a '94 Dodge Ram and took it on its maiden Moab voyage! It did awesomely except for breaking the steering on Hamburger Hill.- Birdy

I had no idea that was a new rig last year, only noticed bigger tires than before, but I think I only saw it once. Wish I knew, I would have checked it out much closer! Excellent job putting it together!- Birdy

Tested the ex last weekend and no more feeling like we're gonna tip over all the time, but guess I need to change the front axle u joints to spicer because I broke one just turning in the mud. Replaced it out there with a cheap oreilly joint that I'm sure won't last long...... Almost ready...- Birdy

Happened about 5 years ago right after the dana 30 sas, now it has a 44. I was cresting a hill and didn't see the washout until I was in it, only crushed in the fender, a little on the door enough so the window wouldn't roll down and broke the mirror off. I actually think that the front right... -
