96 XLT seat belt repair help

I agree if they have it get it, but the driver seat is used far more often and wears alot quicker. The original passenger side buckle should last a long time

Of all the times... No heat

He said he heard the blend door moving when turning the knob. Could be that the blend door motor is moving but the door is broken in the housing. If thats the case the repair is very expensive in a shop. There are ways to turn the door manually but that is not something to attempt unless you...

Of all the times... No heat

Full blast without a nozzle on the hose should not be to strong to do any damage but you are right, full blast can sometimes be to powerful. Go half power at first to be safe.

    2004 Ford Explorer won't Start

Check the battery first, alot of parts stores like Pep Boys will test it for free. If the battery is ok then it's probably the starter.

Of all the times... No heat

To flush the heater core disconnect the heater hoses where they connect to the engine (Don't try disconnecting them at the heater core. the metal is very thin and can be damaged very easy and you will have to replace it.) Hook up a gargen hose to the heater hose that flows out of the core. Put...

Of all the times... No heat

After that back story I would say your coolant may be leaking into the cylinders. If you are still losing coolant and don't see any signs of leaks on the ground it can be leaking internally. I hope that is not the case for you but after overheating that bad, it's possible. I've repaired many...

Of all the times... No heat

I was wrong about the heater control valve. If both heater core hoses are hot than the core is probably not clogged. But it is easy to flush so it can't hurt and usually cheap at a shop (my shop only charges $40 to flush the core but other places will charge more or less.) It may just be a...

HELP! 03 ford explorer transmission problems

Scan for transmission codes. Not all code readers will tell you trans codes. Accessing the TCM info can really help. (This may sound stupid but check all the fuses, I seen a trans go into limphome mode when it blew a main fuse for the TCM, we wasted an hour on diag just to find out it was the...

05 Sport Trac Misbehaving in the cold

I would check for vacuum leaks, Fords tend to stumble when un-metered air is entering the system. The PVC elbow is notorious to go bad or kink. I would check anywhere there is air/vacuum lines and sometimes the rubber gaskets fail on the plastic intakes. I would spray carb cleaner on the vacuum...

Of all the times... No heat

Explorers/mountaineers don't have heater control valves. Your problem is def low coolant. Fill it up and pressure test it to find the leak. Sometimes just flushing the system can cause a small leak to blow out to a large leak if a gasket is weak. Over heating can cause expensive repairs like...
