How do u check the u joints?

I rotated the front driveshaft and the axle that go to the wheels they turn slight and then lock, it not even 1 full rotation before they lock. If I shake the axle up and down it kinda gives on the passenger sideside. Is that normal?

Also now when I am sitting stilland press the button, no clunking noise

I can't seem to find any help on my problem. Today I decided to test the 4wd drive out cause , winter is around the corner. While sitting still I push the 4hi and all the lights illuminated and herd clicking noise. As well as a clunking noise in the front end not sure where it was coming from...

I have a 93 Ford explorer , manual transmission. Yesterday I was driving her and all of a sudden I went to downshift and could not shift into gear, it wouldn't let me shift into any gear but reverse. When I let out on the clutch in neutral you could hear a winning noise which would go away...

Don't think so it mostly does it when ya are barely moving and come to a stop , .do u think because the rotor set out i. It did have service rust on it . The guy who put it together says he didnt mess with it. I couldn't hit it I'm in love with it lol.

My abs light comes on then off and then there is a buzzing noize as well as the brakes get hard. We replaced the spindle on the front passenger side . It never did it before we replaced it. Anyone have an idea.
