I get that they look whiter and look more modern but every vehicle and factory housing is different, and are designed to work with incandescent bulbs, I'm curious if it's actually worth it or they just look cool. I'm pretty happy with my Philips Crystal Vision bulbs for headlights and fogs right...

So does every 4.0 liter have the timing chain rattle at start up? Looked at a few recently and they all have it, even one with only 65,000 miles on it. I still own a 2002 and it's had the rattle since around 80,000 at startup and low rpms under a load, I'm at 202,000 now but I'd prefer one...

Trying to order the liftgate glass for my 2002 explorer. I'm seeing 2 different options, one for 5 passenger, and another for 7 passenger. Is anything different on the rear hatch? Of course the 5 passenger is what I need and it's more expensive.

Light scrapping/rubbing noise on my 02 xls more noticeable when turning left but still there when driving straight. Noise is definitely from the right rear, it's not a wheel bearing issue, that was just replaced. Here's the interesting part, it's intermittent, i can go 50 miles and not hear it...

I know the rear drivers side is broken and the passenger side might be also. I will changing both rears. Found on Amazon for 130 bucks each. been reading thru posts on here and seems like a pretty easy job but no one mentions if a spring compressor is needed.
