installing quickstruts on my 2002 ex. Will I need a spring compressor?

I know the rear drivers side is broken and the passenger side might be also. I will changing both rears. Found on Amazon for 130 bucks each. been reading thru posts on here and seems like a pretty easy job but no one mentions if a spring compressor is needed.

So the new ones must have a band that is cut I am guessing. thanks for the info
 






No band you replace the whole assembly not the spring
 






I guess I am just picturing the spring being fully extended and wondering if that will be hard to deal with unless I just use the vehicle weight to compress it before tightening the lower control arm. I was a mechanic for most my life but haven't messed with anything for about 8 years now.
