    Glad to hear you got your brake lights working. Do you have the part number for the BWD kit? It may help someone else if they are having the same problem.

    I just went through this with my Explorer. I had a humming noise when going around right hand bends. Found out I had two bad bearings on the left hand side.

    Wish i could help. I had a Ford Taurus that would do that when the temperature was hot outside and the car was driven for a few hours or so. Shut the car off, come back a few minutes later and crank and no start. Wait about a half hour and the car would start and run like I never had a problem...

    Did you try draining the power to the memory? The computer will store enough power to retain the memory for awhile. When I changed the plugs in my sons Ford Fusion it held the memory for over 3 hours. Even the radio held it's memory.

    Like Number4 said; The ECM/PCM can be damaged.

    Yes. Edit: I did the vacuum hose method on my old Taurus. I don't know if it really cleaned anything or not but it sure did smoke out the neighborhood.

    2004 fuse box question

    The radio should have two hot wires. One is hot all the time for the radio memory. The second one is only hot when the key is on so the radio will play. Don' know why there is fuses in the unused blocks.

    Sounds like the cooling system may have a air pocket and needs bleeding.

    The junk yard should have a cross reference book to look up what parts will interchange.

    I just joined today and want to say Hi to everyone! :) I have been the proud owner of my 2005 Ford Explorer for more than a Year and a half. My other vehicles are a 1990 Chevy pick up and a 2009 Kawasaki 500.
