    Worth a try I guess, thanks. Since this was a ranch truck the inside of the door was absolutely filthy with dust, so it wouldn't be a surprise if it buggered it up.

    There was also a bunch of similar crud in between the cylinder banks under the intake manifold. I was able to loosen it with a long stick and suck it out with a vacuum.

    The intake is behind the grill but it is just an open tube, any varmint can get in there, I am thinking about making a grill to go over it.

    I really need to do this, see my other post with the aircleaner, I'm sure this area is chock fill as well. It does have a slight "toasty" smell after it's warmed up, not unpleasant, but don't want a fire.
