    2006 Explorer V8 Auto O/D off won't illuminate

    Solution: The gear shift circuit board was faulty. There was a recall but the previous owner did not take advantage of it, so this was an out-of pocket expense. All is well now, though. Great Truck!

    2006 Ford Explorer - Eddie Bauer V8 Automatic wit 48,700 mi. The O/D Off light will not illuminate when I turn the ignition switch to "on. " The truck will not shift out of O/D (and the light will not illuminate) while underway, either. The truck shifts smoothly and properly, up and down...
