it is real cheap.so will the pedals work for a mazda once i find one of those? and by not lasting,is that as in not lasting as long as an a4ld would? i know it isn't as good as the mazda, but it's got to be better than what it has. it won't see street duty, and the diffs are geared so...

i found a good deal on a 5 speed tranny out of a b-2,the koyo i think.will this work instead of the mazda tranny?will it last at all?

ya,i've been getting things done slowly.but not really pic worthy,as i really looks no different than in the last set of pics, other than i choped the rear section of roof off. the shock hoops are completly done now.they had to stick through the hood a little because of the low ride height,and...

    boble86's sas and other mods

looks really good! did the hatch not line up well with the back of the cab as is?it needed all the extra sheet metal to fill the gaps?i was hopeing it would line up nice just as it sits!

    Square driveshaft

i ran a square one that i whacked together in about a hlf hour for years in my old yota! it was great, you could shash that thing on the rock as hard as you want, and you only have to worry about the yokes or joints breaking(which they never did!) but they are noisy at low speed when not in 4...

ya,it has a bit of rust, but it is mostly the factory under coat that is causing it!it must trap water like a *****!the only place it is rusted through all the way is a bit on the rad support, and a little weird spot at the wery top of the windsheild.it was originally from michigan,so i guess that...

i was only interested in the front suspention at this time,to check if everything is clearing.so i lifted one of the rear tires a bit, then i aired up the air bag on the side i was lifting, and it tips it way over!

thanks for the comps guys!i am really happy with the way it is turning out.the one pic of it sitting level isn't the ride height,it is sitting on it's temporary bump stops in the fron, and the bags are deflated in the rear. the trails we run up here are crazy tight,i'm not sure how i am going to...

ya,i've got quite a bit more done now.anyone want to host more pics for me? i have the front mostly done now, exept for the shock hoops.i need to have these bent up somewhere,so until then,no air shocks.i pulled it out of the carport and lifted a rear tire with the engine hoist to see if all...

    exploder p-steering pump+hydro steering

has anyone tried full hydro with the ford pump?it was recomended to me that i switch out the pump,as the guy i got the system off of said they are one of the worst pumps going.i know the older ford pumps sucked, but the pump seems real nice in my '94 ford diesel.i would imagine the ex('94...

    Ricks Bronco: 1and 1/2

ok,i see what you are saying about having adjusted so it can only pull back so far.but i think if i has any play,it will pull back till it can't anymore, then it will spring forward, which in your case has no resistance at all.but,i guess it would be better than nothing at all. i had one of the...

    Ricks Bronco: 1and 1/2

i don't mean to rain on your parade, but, the sams traction bar gets away with a shackle at the front because the traction bar itself is triangulated.this converts the movment of it into rotational movement, therfore the front of the traction bar wants to move up and down.the way you have yours set...

rick, are you reading this?if so,could you post some pics of how you upper front links are mounted to the frame?or any one else that has a similar set up.i am just getting ready to set the front up,but am having a hell of a time trying to find the room to fit links.it seems that the exaust is...

i will have them valved so i can inflate or deflate individually.i was thinking about a flow through, but it would be real unstable like that.but it would only be one more solonoid,so i might add that feature also. i havn't cycled it side to side yet,but you can see in the pics that i have done...

my buddy had the same bags in his truck! :D
  21. G

    project green meanie

yup,the bags are the springs!it's like riding on air! ;) it is acually alot bouncier with them than i thought they be  .no shocks yet of course! basically the same as a trac bar?it has a trac bar,if thats what you mean? a torque tube suspension has a tube that can swivel hooked to the...
  22. G

    project green meanie

it is just a home built version of the torque tube suspention that the mog uses from the factory.very simple and easy to built.it also completly protects the drive shaft

    project green meanie

well, the rear end is on the ground now,and the bags are semi operational.i only have them hooked together for now, with a schrader valve and a manual dump. it sems to work pretty good, but it is still pretty tall even with the bags all the way dumped.it is huge when they are all the way filled...
