How often are these fluids really good for? I know they arnt something on the frequent side like oil but in the 4 years ive had my Explorer i cant remember any fluid flushings, just topping off. Break fluid keeps the breaks functional, transmission doesnt hickup and power steering is still...

The chrome tube from the Mac system, just for show? Or does it have some function that i cant really think of? I am in this market also and im not going to put out $240 for the complete air box, so pretty much the chrome tube will swing me MAC or K&N.
