Puddle light replacement Well...very late to the game, but my light just went out (1998 Explorer Sport). There actually are two screws under the mirror. Too dark to do it now but I'm guessing that's the way in. They may be hex screws. NAD

This is a longshot, but when I changed the headliner in my '83 Toranado, there was a copy between the roof and the shell that the headliner was connected to. I was told it was some sort of security thing (like the VIN on all the parts that they do today). Not sure if it's worth taking apart...
