    For Sale 1999 Ford Explorer 4x4 5 Speed $3100

Here’s a Craigslist link with photo, I’m having issues uploading here 1999 Ford Explorer 4x4 5 Speed - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle... You are looking at my 1999 Ford Explorer. This vehicle is four doors, 4x4 and a 5 speed manual! I have owned this vehicle since March 2019 and have put...

Joe's 1998 Ford Explorer Sport Police Interceptor

I got ahold of the owner today in this now winding thread spanning a decade and two accounts. He has basically rehabbed it but kept a lot of it original. New trans, rear end, replaced rockers and new wheels. But it’s like how I set it up all those years ago. He would be open to selling it...

    What are these seats?

If this was a parts car and a little cheaper I’d be all over that. Those seats look awesome for almost 200K! In March I found an Outback I wanted in Reno NV so I bought it sight unseen, got a one way plane ticket and bombed it back the 800 miles home in one day. So I’ve been known to do stupid...

    What are these seats?

No freakin’ way! I absolutely love those, i have something new to hunt for but I bet these are all so trashed by now. I am also on the hunt for manual doors. Just gonna swap the doors completely seems to complex to try to retrofit. My power locks and power windows all work when they want to...

    What are these seats?

I am a sucker for fleet models of vehicles, I just like the simplicity and utility of them I suppose. I came across these photos and noted they have seats I haven’t seen before. They’re too plush to be just seat covers, yet the pattern doesn’t match a normal leather seat (nor would I expect...

    My Police Explorer

Welcome! PA and NJ rotted out some of my favorite cars too. I had the double whammy in Asbury Park where I got salt water too..

So I called the dealership it had been serviced at and was informed the owner is actually an employee there. I left my name and number and said to pass along the message I’d love to buy it back, aaand I’ve heard nothing since that day. Did they write down the wrong number? Did the message never...

    Sandbox2.000 Suspension Build

There’s plenty of them out here in Phoenix! I lived in PA for 20 years so I’m spoiled by how beautiful cars are out here. Usually the only way the OHV ones die out here is from a collision. There’s plenty of SOHC ones here in good body condition though.

    Sandbox2.000 Suspension Build

I love the mudflaps, I found a nice set of Mountaineer ones at the junkyard buuuuut it was missing one so I left them. I love how this is all coming together

Joe's 1998 Ford Explorer Sport Police Interceptor

Well I found the VIN today and bought the Carfax and it’s still on the road! It has over 200k miles now and it’s in Williamsport PA. It gets serviced at a dealership and I’m going to try to get ahold of the dealer and see if they can get me in contact with the owner. I would love to buy it back...

Oh wow, see I thought I had an account from before! This is from when I was in high school ha. I went through some old bins and couldn’t find my old registration p, I’m looking for the VIN to try to track this down. This is funny to see again.

I dug up some more photos of it. This was my favorite car I ever owned, it was just at a point if my life where I had no money to fix it. I got air in the cooling system and then blew a head gasket so it was game over. I am actually going to go find the VIN and pay for a Carfax. I know it’s...

Gee good eye there, I wish I could remember. That photo is from 2008ish so these cars weren’t *that* old yet. I think I may have gotten it from Galls? It was a really nice piece, it was a direct bolt in and design specifically for the SSV Explorers.

I am much older and wiser than I once was, so mainly just putting some armor on it, definitely need rock sliders. I’m interested in swapping in a manual transfer case, I had the electric one get me stuck in 4lo in a flash flood and I got to drive 79 miles in 4lo to get home. That was neat.

Yeah I used to work US 60 in Surprise and think I have seen you come and go once or twice in the years past. Good to know I’ve got someone to contact when I get my car half ripped apart in my garage and can’t figure out how to get it back together. 😜

Hi all, I honestly don’t know how I don’t have an account already; I’ve probably lurked the website for 15 plus years? But hey, here I am. I’ve had a relatively long history with Explorers: My first was a 1998 Explorer Sport, it was a 5 speed and 4x4, it got me through High school and most of...
