Howdy Folks, we like our explorers or we would not be here.
My 2004 Ranger rusted out here in PA so I scrambled to find a replacement.
Best deal I could find was an explorer police interceptor utility.
I have driven hundreds of police cars and know how well they perform.
Mine had a plastic rear seat, rear doors will not open from inside nor
will the windows. Without the rear seat I have as much cargo area as the Ranger

Welcome to the forum. When we lived in NJ I put 2 r/s rear doors & a used bed on my 2000 Ranger 4x4. The salt they throw on the roads eats them up.

Welcome! PA and NJ rotted out some of my favorite cars too. I had the double whammy in Asbury Park where I got salt water too..

I rarely have a passenger let alone more than one so it's not a big deal right now but in the future imagine this" an UBER driving a police car, people would want their pictures taken being cuffed and stuffed, could be a good retirement gig.

You're not wrong, know several people that would love to jump in the back, handcuffs and all for a photoshoot!
