My MPG has been sucking since the cold snap,you called that one right :thumbsup: Any heads-up info to changing the thermostats on these 1st gens.? Which temp t-stat would you advise, I live in N.W. US but travel interstate/nationwide/year around......Higher or lower? Thanks.

It has been in the single digit temps overnight here for over a week,daytime high of about 12-22 (f). If I plug it in a while before I plan to venture out(1-3 hrs) would that help in warm up temps? Mine runs cool and takes a while to pump the heat....Thanks.

Could someone tell me what engine block heaters came as options on 1st gen. explorers? I have 94 Limited and am guessing mine is factory equipment,I'm second owner, 65K miles...Thanks

Welcome to the forum Nightwolf :D By running lights are you refering to the 2 lights below the bumper? If not is your vehicle Canadian?My owners manual says ony Canadian vehicles are equipped with daytime running lights(1994). It also says the fog lights only operate with low beams(American)...

I had a tune up done recently,the only other thing I had done was the serpentine belt and a power steering flush.

I would avoid poisons for one reason,the infected mouse just might make his final resting spot in your heater box :eek: I knew a girl who tried d-con and the mice died in her walls,they had to rip out all the walls in the house!! Take my word for it,regular mouse traps baited with peanut...

If it were me,I would do some quick research,challenge the speeding ticket. I even had a cop say that he paced me in court......I asked him how he could pace me when he was actually only behind me for 5 seconds at most and how he could do this while he was accelerating and I was slowing...

Any ideas on why I have "occasional" cruise control? Sometimes on the first drive of the day it will not work,even if it's over 20 miles. But if I stop somewhere(even after 10 miles)shut it off and next time I take off it works fine? When it is in use it never cuts out.

94 Limited 4x4,auto, bone stock, 63K miles. I average 16/city and 20/freeway.

So with the milage on my Ex (63K) I would be best off getting both done? I did not really want to spend over $200 to have the tranny serviced :eek: But I love my ride :D Thanks again for the help everyone :thumbsup:
