    Wierd noise...clutch???

Mine make a grinding twang kind of noise when speeding up... I think "and hope" it is the metal cover because it quit for a long time when I tightened it down with a bungee... Time to add another because the sound is back...

    Power Drain Issues...

My Explorer is starting to get power drains... I can see my volt meter jump sometimes, and fall almost all the way down if I'm opening the window... Yesterday it acted like my battery was completely dead when I tried to start my engine... After about 3 tries it started up... ????

    My next project... (Temperature problem)

My fan seems to work fine... It spins while running at the least...

    My next project... (Temperature problem)

Could be open... I get allot of heat and cold air from the dash vents when the dials are set to the pacific temp even when the heater or AC is off... Could that be what it is ?

    My next project... (Temperature problem)

OK it takes a coons age for my Explorer to even show some signs of heating up... It only seems to heat up on hot days and stays at C if the temp outside is below 90°... My fluid still looks fluorescent green, not dirty or too thin in color... I'm sure that it's still pumping because...

    Is this hard to fix...

Luckily my belt didn't come off... It just wedged against my fan and jammed it up... Good thing I was close to home, so I drove about a mile without the fan running...

    Is this hard to fix...

Never mind... It took me a few but I figured out what that square hole is and now everything is put together... Haven't tried it out on the road yet but it runs good sitting... Anyway thanks for the help and encouragement or it would of been off to the garage and I would of been out of...

    Is this hard to fix...

OK!!! I broke down and fixed it except for one problem... How do I make the belt lose enough to go back on properly...

    Is this hard to fix...

I got the old one off except the back part that has the bolt holding it on... It will not break lose and I do not have to tools to remove it by taking the whole thing out that it's connected to... Don't want to fool with it and risk tearing **** up so I called a guy that will do it for...

    Is this hard to fix...

    Got my piece...

    Is this hard to fix...

Yes I think it is... It's got a spring behind it... Could I just tighten it down somehow... It looks hard to fix because I assume I'll have to take the fan and radiator out... I never had to do something like this before...

    Farrari as jackstand?

LOL Somehow I picture the owners face much like Sonny's face when the arms dealer blew up his Ferrari Daytona Spyder in that one Miami Vice episode...

Call me stupid but what goes in this thing with the two knobs...

Mine come off as well, but you can't get to the filter... So I assumed that you poured something in there...

    Sea Foam Insertion Point

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm guessing that this is the PCV hose... It seems like a metal pipe with a rubber hose around it...

    Sea Foam Insertion Point

Pour it into every hose... Until you get the right one... LOL Anyway I'm planning to do this tomorrow... I already have a can of the Deep Creep spray, or should I buy a can of the liquid kind...

    Cleanin of some vitals.

I also like having and seeing pictures in posts... It clearly gives a better idea on what to look for instead of just trying to explain what and where the object is... I know 1994 stuff isn't new, but it's new to me because I'm use to those 1970 type cars... Things were so easy on those...

Ever had a WTF day with your explorer?

Yes... Everyday actually... Since fixing my wheel bearing problem and getting new tires I'm hearing a (waaaaaaaaa!!!!) driving around... I guess hotter weather makes tires sound different... Tomorrow I will post any new strange sounds my Explorer will make...

    4.slow

Get a Acura NSX or a 911 if you want a fast car... Anyway my 94 was doing something like that... It strained to get up some speed... So I just put in new plugs and cables and now I can get a little squeak from the back tires when I hit the gas...

Call me stupid but what goes in this thing with the two knobs...

Good thing I didn't pour anything in there... I also think I remember the one on my old Buick where you could open it up and change the filter or something...

    Scraping front wheels... (1994 Explorer 4x4 )

Well I stood in a freezing garage all morning 7:30 > 8:30 and now the tires are on pretty tight... Now all that's left to do is get some rotors and a set of tires... I'm going to get rid of those big snow tires on the front because they make too much noise and it only snows here once...

    Un-usable spare rim from Ford?

I've been looking for some rims like that myself... My rims were all chipped up where that clear coat stuff was turning white... So instead of buying new rims I just grabbed some sandpaper and a good can of paint... They don't look too bad and look even better when sunlight hits them...
  22. E

Call me stupid but what goes in this thing with the two knobs...

I don't think it has ever had anything in it...
  23. E

    Un-usable spare rim from Ford?

Yours is nice and shiny... Mine only looks half decent because I washed the tire off... Did you fix it up or did it stay that way... I'm planning to put a coat of that Hammer Coat paint on my spare rim to hide the rust...

    Scraping front wheels... (1994 Explorer 4x4 )

This is just the front wheels BTW... 4 bearings I think they said... The back wheels are still pretty tight and the drums and brake pads are still good unlike what Firestone tried to say...
