When installing a comp cams 422 camshaft, do the factory hydraulic roller lifters need to be replaced as well? I have swapped cams on 3.8L ford, using the stock lifters over and over again, with no adverse effects, but can this be done with the 4.0? Thanks.

thanks for the help killer7. Anyone know how much doug's 93 torque or performance tunes add as far as ign. advance? And how much further can the numbers be pushed when using the water meth injection. Is there a point when regardless of octane level, timing can no longer be advanced?

yeah, my truck idles with about 10* of advance according to my scantool. this is still the stock tune. Are you running 93 octane in order to advance to 12*++? And just curious as to why the trans would have any issues due to more timing, I don't want to wreck anything, but I have never heard of...

Just curious if the front axle and cv shafts can be removed safely from a 4x4 to cut down on weight and rotating mass for running at the track or no? The cv shafts bolt through the center hub/bearing, but I don't see how they aid in holding the wheel on at all. If anyone can clarify this it will...

I have a 96' 4x4, and there has been a loud squeaking problem related to the front u-joints being worn out. What I don't understand is why the front DS turns when I am in 2wd. If the vehicle is in park, I can turn it freely by hand, but as soon as I drive, it starts to turn. Does anyone know why...

I came accross a jacob's mileage master ignition for my 96' 4.0 OHV, but has anyone actually tested one of these. It is quite pricey, but if it actually increases mileage/power, I suppose it might be a good upgrade. Anyone have an opinion on this piece, let me know. thanks
