After 3" body lift & 33x10.50's stock rims

I'm looking into getting a lift for my '98 Explorer, but I have no clue what I need. It's a 2WD and I want to make it look like I could take it offroad. What's the difference between a body lift and a suspension lift? I prob wouldn't ever go offroad...what do you think I need?
