*Blows dust off thread* Time to change plugs and wires.... Seems like the general consensus here for plugs is definately Bosch +4s. For wires, it looks like Taylor Spiros.... I've never heard of these....I assume it is a quality brand since many of you use it- can I find it at a local auto...

There is a time and a place for everything. Doing something like this on a public road while others are obviously using the road is not the time, nor the place. Thankfully I came away unscathed in my early years of driving to learn this lesson.

Is this going to remain a daily driver? Cages can seriously reduce its capibilities if it is.... I dont think you really need a cage for autocrossing, and if you really want one, I would get one custom fabbed to include some of the rear area behind the driver, too- mainly for structural rigidity.

But doesnt a centrifugal charger compress the air and send it into the engine through the intake- i.e., not directly into the intake manifold? I can understand why a roots-type wouldnt work, but how wouldnt a centrifugal charger work? Maybe I just need to understand how a centrifugal...

Probably a silly question, but what exactly would keep a supercharger made for the 5.0 from being squeezed on a 4.0? Wouldn't bolt up right? Belt not it right place? Too big?

Ha, yea, I've been to Road Atlanta's track days....wow :eek: The days I have been there there were Vipers, 360 Modena, countless Vettes and M3s, couple of 911 Turbos...insane stuff. But then again, one track day for 2 hours of racing costs $500. Those guys would really laugh at an Explorer-...

I'm in Tallahassee at Florida State. Yea, the Bainbridge surface isnt the best to say the least :rolleyes: :) Lots of pebbles, lots of sand, asphalt crumbling in some places. But, its better than nothing, and they do their best to direct the course around the bad parts and to keep the track...

4.0 OHV is on passengers-side firewall right below windshield. I think almost all of the others are there too
