95 4.0 EB 4 door Auto Tranny wouldnt drive one day so I had it rebuilt. The rebuild went fine, but after a while went back into "limp mode". Turns out, the harness on the drivers side of the tranny is pretty tore up. Most of the wires are bare. When the O/D light is off it drives perfect..so...

Well..I got this truck with some of these "lift parts" already on it. When we started on it and got to looking at it, right off the bat noticed a problem. It had what looks like an aal..but was bent downword like a triangle shape..and mounted on the back side of the leafs. The way these things...

Well today we are going SOA. I want to offset the lift a little my making some factory length leaf shackles. Does anyone know the eye to eye length on factory rear leaf shackles?

When I got my X, the ABS light was on but "nothing was wrong"...eventually out of no where my pass side hub blew out one day. Fixed it, the light went away ever since. Dunno if that helps any, but my experience. gl

Can someone tell me the factory eye to eye shackle length?? We are going back to stock to offset a little of the lift in the rear. THX!

Just to clarify before I do this on my 95 4 door 4x4.. I wont have to do anything with the drive shaft...just use the hole that is farthest back on the new perch's?

So no resi shock and dual springs... where would one find this "dual rate spring" hardware? link? ..also " 750 or 800 pnd spring rate" so does that mean I can get a 500lb 10" and 300lb 4" or any combo adding up to 800? Sorry for all the questions..thanks for your help!

What coil over and spring combo are you going with? I am interested in what I would need for my 95 4 door 4.0. Is it necessary to go with a reservoir shock?

So..bringing this back to the top. I just found this thread and am very interested. I have read thru all of it. 95 4wd 4 door X 4.0 v6 So far I have: 3" Body Lift TT rear Shackles rancho Rs9000s 33x12.5 15x8 mud lugs 4:11 in the rear What shock and coil over combo would be the best for me?

go 33/12.5 or later you will wish you did!

I did see yours a while back..very nice. Looks like without the back seats it damn near doubles the cargo room!

Lately I have been pondering ditching the rear seats in my 95 4 door eb. I need the extra room to tote around my power/hand tools for work...and have to keep the seats down anyway. I plan on bed lining it all if I do go all the way. Just wondering if anyone has some pics out there to check...

Yea I would also like to know how to tell which are the "updated" ones? I was told my 95 didnt have the "updated" pcm?

So what are you saying? Leave the stock muffler? Buy a certain type? Dont change the tubing size?

went to autozone and they looked at me like I was crazy. It is very wierd, as the o/d light has gone off a few times and it runs and shifts perfectly?? Could this be electrical? Are there other components I can replace for the tranny externally?
