Ive got mac on my 5.0 mustang, and it sounds sweet. I also have no cats on it, so that helps! I did the cat-back before I took the convertors off, so I can say that it even sounded good then too. I have the same exhaust situation on my explorer that you do, and Im going for the mac system myself.

im going to watch this one, as I am looking for the same style and cant find them anywhere. Im actually looking for the piece right behind the front wheel on the bottom. Mine is slightly different though because I had the tubular steps, not the built in style. :dunno:

I took TequilaSnrs087 advice and got one at autozone. it was actually just over $60 and was made of plastic, no metal on it at all.
