You'd think that and that would make sense. But the one on the front of the console is #2 . The power port at the back of the console is #1 . At least on my 02.

The metal rock guard in front of the plastic guard that covers the filter? Are your bolts rusted or rounded? All it was was 3 bolts on mine and it came right out. 13mm if I remember?

Well I'm at just under 180,000 on my original transmission. I have a two, maybe three, day drive across the country ahead of me in August and this thing slips every now and then going into second just a little. It's been just under 100,000 miles since the last time the fluid was flushed...

Success! Found the vacuum leak pretty quickly thanks to the help from you guys. The check valve under the hood was bad and was allowing air both ways. While replacing that I also found the hard hose from that valve into the firewall was broken off inside the housing. I managed to get that...

Thanks Lane. I've had the transmission fluid changed before but it's been close to 50,000 miles or so. Same with the rear differential; it was rebuilt right at 40,000 miles ago. I'll probably get both of those done in the near future. New tires in Feb of this year, new pads and rotors on...

I'm on my second set of Michelin LTX MS/2s. Once I get out of this God-forsaken state they should actually last a lot longer. My first set went about three years and were only down 2/32" from the original tread depth.
