overdrive light

Hello I have a 2002 Ford Explorer 4.0 liter v6 and both my OD light and 4x4 lights are flashing i don't know what is causing either and I'm just looking for a good starting point on what's going on is it probably something big or small I would really like to have my 4x4 back before the snow gets...

The overdrive is off and the button doesn't turn it on.
