I was wondering what brand of exhaust would be best to get for my explorer and if there are any easy ways to make it sound better

What are you looking for?(loud, deep, performance) V8 for V6 engine?

You can start out by putting a cold air intake on the explorer if you want it to sound better. After that if you really want to be ghetto you can cut out the resonator and put in a peice of pipe from discount auto parts (yes I did this).

Best as far as sound goes, is in the ear of the beholder.

Performance wise, a cat back system is a wise investment.

Good luck .......

I have a Flowmaster 40 series muffler with 2.5" pipes. I had two different designs so far, out the back and 45-ed! Here's some pictures:
