I have a 01 Sport Trac . The brake bias seems to change from the front when cold to the rear when hot. The fronts will lock up in the morning. I've done calipers pads , still no luck. Any ideas?
I've always noticed that cooler humid mornings cause the front brakes to be much more responsive. I just adjust my foot pressure to compensate until the brakes are warmed up.
My Sport Trac is the same as Johnstone said, as was my '95 Explorer and '93 Ranger. I just remember to be easy on the brakes when I first start driving, but in my situations the brakes even out after a couple cycles and all is good. My friend's Expedition, as well as his sister's Expedition, does the same thing, only not nearly as severely as my Explorers do/did. I swear my old '93 Ranger just about made me lose some teeth on the steering wheel some mornings . . .
Thanks , It just doesn't feel correct. It has no abs light on. My wife drives it most of the time. I think I'm going to look everything over , one more time.
